The Hive

This family getaway home tucked away in Gachibowli - Hyderabad offers its end users a highly curated sense of comfort & rejuvenation. This villa witnesses the coming together of a tropical modern identity & the layering of the same with a spectrum of antique artefacts and curios from all over the country. The visual palette at The Hive is a narrative of monotones & neutrals hues interspersed with pops of colors that are introduced into the space via the usage of furniture & accessories across the space.

The bedroom spaces in the home are a reflection of the preferences of the end users while staying tied-in with the overall design persona of the residence. This home was to be used by the clients to entertain immensely & hence dedicated spaces like a bar cum lounge, home theatre and expansive living spaces were accounted for in the spatial configuration. A custom beehive installation is the piece de resistance in The Hive as it forms an intriguing element that captures the conceptual impetus behind the space, a biophilic sentiment.

Larger than life furniture pieces integrate to form connective entertaining spaces & display a common thread of materiality. Off-white oxide walls, bison board ceilings, floral cement tiles in sections give the home an earthy milieu. Foot pools on the ground & second floor inculcate a sense of a ‘farmhouse’ in the space & are made of shades of grey granite, lending the space with a tranquil ambience - perfect for a holiday abode.
